Nothing lasts forever. Eventually, your shiny new machine will stop functioning properly or will no longer need to meet your needs. Meanwhile, the automation technology has moved on with hardware and software offering improved productivity, reduced energy usage, and greater ease-of-use. One option is to upgrade the electronics, which will improve matters but only within certain constraints. The other choice is to buy a whole new machine.
