Controls Components | Communication Networks
Control systems exchange communication and commands as information packets distributed among various components across a network.
Networked systems deliver efficient information sharing between controllers through a system of sensors that acquire information, controllers that provide decisions and commands, and actuators that give commands.
Networks include three main types, namely, fieldbuses or industrial network protocols for real-time distributed control, Ethernet or local area networks and wireless networks like Bluetooth.
Each of these networking options eliminates unnecessary wiring and other costs for the design and implementation of control systems.
