Brad Frustaglio is a graduate of Michigan Technological University and a registered professional engineer. He has 20 years of experience with YES ™ as an electric motor designer, motor design course instructor, electric motor tester, and software developer. Mr. Frustaglio is a member of MCMA, NSPE, and is a contributor to the Handbook of Small Electric Motors. He is the on-going software developer and software trainer of YES software, an electric motor design tool. He has design expertise in BLDC, PMSM, Single and Polyphase AC Induction, Stepper, Universal, PMDC motors, linear actuators, and specialty electromagnetic devices. His design experience includes numerous applications from military/aerospace, household appliances, industrial, automotive accessory, automotive traction, medical, and specialty high-temperature motors and linear actuators.
Prabh Gowrisankaran is Performance Motion Devices’ (PMD) Vice President of Engineering and Strategy, responsible for future-proofing PMD and our customers who innovate in a fast-paced technology environment. With a degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Babson College, Prabh brings over 20 years of technology and product management, hardware development, and engineering leadership to the PMD team.
Chris Harduwar is the Vice President of Automation at Maplesoft with two decades of engineering and operations experience. Chris's focus is on strategic partnerships and exploring new applications for digital twins and virtual commissioning solutions in the automation industry.
Mr. Holcomb studied at the University of Buffalo, receiving his Master of Science degree in 1994. Mark began his career at CSA Engineering in Palo Alto, California where he worked on active systems product development, including active isolation platforms and reaction mass cancellation devices. In 1997 Mr. Holcomb started a consulting company, focusing his work at KLA-Tencor where he specialized in modal testing, and servo loop modeling, tuning, and testing. In 2009, Mark joined AeroJet Corp in Sacramento Ca, where he modeled thrust actuation devices for kinetic warheads. In 2011, Mark returned to KLA-Tencor, and continued work modeling and tuning servo systems. In October of 2015, Mark joined Celera Motion where he is writing automation test software for motors and mechatronics products, assists sales and applications team members, conducting training classes and writing motor analysis software, and works directly with customers, assisting them in solving their motion control needs. In 2017 Mark became part of the Basic CMCP instructional staff, teaching the Motor Theory class and in 2018 he became co-chair of the Advance CMCP course, leading the development of the course content and course trajectory.
Ken Innami is the Vice President of Business Development for Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. In his current role, he is responsible for executing the company’s vertical strategy around select industries such as Automotive, Machine Tool, Electronics and eCommerce/Logistics. During Ken’s 25-year career with Mitsubishi Electric, he has held various Sales & Marketing leadership roles, including heading up the Global Key Accounts, Marketing and Strategic Planning/M&A activity in the Americas. Prior to arriving in the US in 2008, he held roles with increasing responsibility in Japan around Automation, Motion Control and Robotics. Ken has a Master of Engineering and BSME from Cornell University.
Mike is President at Dart Controls Inc. In that role he's involved in sales management, marketing, research, product development, operations and general management of the business.
Dart is a privately held firm located in Zionsville, IN that designs, manufactures and distributes power electronics (speed controls) and accessories into the small (< 3 HP) DC motor marketplace. Dart is the National Brand supplier in the Grainger catalog for this product category and has multiple times been recognized as their exclusive PIP Supplier of the Year.
Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Manufacturers Association as Immediate Past Chairman. He is Past-President of SMMA (The Motor and Motion Association) now a part of A3. He has led Dart to ISO certification and converted the manufacturing operation to a lean/JIT model.
Prior professional experience in the Energy Services sector involved management assignments with CINergy (now Duke Energy, a gas/electric utility holding company) and Honeywell in their Energy Management/Building Management Division.

Patrick McDermott is the President of B&R Industrial Automation for North America. He has had several roles within the organization over the past 13+ years in Sales and Senior Management. Prior to B&R, Patrick was controls engineering manager for an OEM machine builder responsible for electrical design, support, and software. Patrick began his career in engineering working with high-performance motion control products, programming on different machine types in many different industries including Semi-con, Machine Tools, Packaging machines, as well as Printing/Converting. Patrick has a B.S. and M.S from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Engineering specializing in control systems.
Corey Morton has held several engineering and management positions in his 13 years with B&R Industrial Automation at their North American headquarters based in Roswell, GA. In his current role as Head of Product Management, he and his team serve as a regional extension of B&R's global Product Management team and are responsible for the entire product and technology portfolio. Through close interaction with his counterparts at global B&R headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria, Corey's team is responsible for the successful rollout and customer adoption of B&R's of new key technologies.
Prior to joining B&R, Corey worked in management, engineering, and product management roles for various prominent automation vendors, such as GE, ABB, and Rockwell Automation, bringing almost 30 years of industry expertise to the B&R team.
Craig Nelson is a senior product marketing manager for high-performance drive systems in the Motion Control Business of Siemens Digital Factory. Craig has been with Siemens for over thirty years and, in previous roles, has held engineering positions in the field and in system design. He has expert knowledge of motion control systems across various applications and is an avid promoter and presenter of new motor and drive technologies.
John Payne is currently the Senior Vice President of Motion for Yaskawa America Inc. Mr. Payne has 35 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, vision and motion control. He has spent the last 28 years at Yaskawa in a series of management positions related to robotics and motion control. Prior to joining Yaskawa, Mr. Payne worked at one of the early robot and vision pioneers, Automatix, Inc. While at Automatix, Mr. Payne held a variety of Engineering, Sales and Marketing positions. He was involved in the development of vision guided small parts assembly, multiple manipulator robotic systems and aerospace welding. Mr. Payne holds a BSME from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Meikel Quaas, President and co-owner of DieQua Corporation, is a degreed Mechanical Engineer from the University of Illinois. Mike is the second-generation owner of DieQua and has been serving as President since 1998. He is also active on a daily basis on the engineering and sales floor and is constantly working with customers, creating engineered solutions to a constant stream of power transmission applications.
Jeff Shearer is a Systems Engineer at Allied Motion Technologies, Inc. a global company that designs, manufactures, and sells precision and specialty motion control components and systems used in a broad range of industries. In his role at Allied Motion, Jeff has worked with world-leading aerospace, agricultural, and vehicle customers in designing lighter, more efficient, and reliable electro-mechanical actuation systems. Jeff holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buffalo, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
Prajod is a Senior Architect in the Robotics Technologies team of Wipro, responsible for research and software development in the area of Cobots and Industrial Robots. His current work involves Smart Manufacturing using Industrial Robots, and Remote Operation of Robots. He has presented at Automate 2019, Chicago, and multiple open source conferences (ApacheCon EU 2016, ApacheCon US 2017, OSI Days, GIDS, JUDCon, WSO2Con).
