New high speed Pulseo 355-Turbo UV and compact infrared Explorer 1064-3 Q-switched lasers expand portfolio
Spectra-Physics®, a Newport Corporation brand, introduces two new industrial Q-switched lasers for 24/7 microelectronics manufacturing applications. The Pulseo® 355-Turbo™ features advanced ultraviolet (UV) performance at very high repetition rates (up to 500 kHz), making it ideal for high-speed processing of semiconductors, touch screens, high density interconnects, and other microelectronics. The Explorer® 1064-3 delivers high infrared (IR) peak power, excellent beam quality and brightness in a robust, compact package for memory repair and micromachining applications.
“These two new lasers demonstrate the breadth and strength of the Spectra-Physics industrial DPSS laser portfolio,” stated Herman Chui, senior director of product marketing for Spectra-Physics.
“The Pulseo 355-Turbo has higher UV power and half the noise of competing lasers, while the Explorer 1064-3 is a versatile IR laser with state-of-the-art performance in a rugged, tiny package.”
The Pulseo 355-Turbo features >8W 355nm output power with <8 percent pulse-to-pulse stability at 300 kHz repetition rate. Based on the reliable and stable Explorer platform, the Explorer 1064-3 offers short <12ns pulse widths and near diffraction-limited beam quality in a robust package that can be used on moving gantries. Both lasers are designed and manufactured to meet the highest industrial laser quality, performance, and reliability standards for demanding 24/7 applications.
