Industry veteran Matthias Huber moves to ADLINK after many years with top competitor
San Jose, CA - ADLINK Technology, Inc., a trusted global source for embedded building blocks and application-ready platforms, today announced new leadership in its Americas Marketing unit with the addition of industry veteran Matthias Huber as VP of Marketing. He brings over 17 years of experience in embedded computing, with a particular focus on computer-on-module technology and customer-focused solutions. The hire of Huber clearly aligns with ADLINK’s goal to establish a majority position in the modular computing market.
“Matthias has consistently found success in each area he’s tried his hand, from engineering to business development,” said PJ Go, general manager of ADLINK Technology’s Americas region. “We’re impressed with everything he achieved while with Kontron, and we’re confident that Matthias will continue with significant contributions here at ADLINK.”
Huber is currently responsible for ADLINK Technology’s marketing strategy and for defining customer solution requirements in the Americas region. During his time in the embedded computing industry, he has been deeply involved in creating industry standards and ecosystems. He has worked on both developing technology specifications and integrating those specifications into new and existing product lines. He also achieved above market-rate product adoption and business growth in his areas. Huber started his career in engineering and product management with Kontron and holds a BE in Engineering, as well as an MBA from Warwick Business School.
“As a new hire, I can add a fresh perspective to ADLINK’s current marketing and sales strategy,” said Huber. “ADLINK is well known as a key player in COM Express, PC/104, and other small form factor technologies—a perfect fit for my background—which will allow me to be a positive factor in meeting and exceeding ADLINK’s larger business and strategic goals.”
According to numbers released by VDC Research, ADLINK Technology achieved the second highest PC/104 market share with its acquisition of German company LiPPERT Embedded Computers GmbH earlier this year, which followed ADLINK’s major push into the modular computing segment with the acquisition of AMPRO Computers, Inc., in 2008.
ADLINK Technology provides a wide range of embedded computing products and services to the test & measurement, automation & process control, gaming, communications, medical, network security, and transportation industries. ADLINK products include PCI Express-based data acquisition and I/O; vision and motion control; and AdvancedTCA, CompactPCI, and computer-on-modules (COMs) for industrial computing. With the acquisition of Ampro Computers, Inc. and LiPPERT Embedded Computers GmbH, ADLINK also provides a wide range of rugged by design Extreme Rugged™ and Rugged product lines including single board computers, COMs and systems.
