The DMC-40x0 and DMC-41x3 Now Have Twice the Program Memory
ROCKLIN, Calif., — Galil Motion Control, the industry leader in motion control technology, today announced more program memory for the DMC-40x0 and DMC-41x3. This release doubles the program memory from 2000 x 80 characters to 4000 x 80 characters and increases the total array elements from 16,000 to 24,000.
“This increase in program and array memory was a request we received from several of our customers,” said Ann Keffer, director of marketing for Galil Motion Control Inc. “The release is a great example of how quickly Galil responds to customer needs.”
The DMC-40x0 and DMC-41x3 are Galil’s fifth generation multi-axis motion controllers. Both highly successful multi-axis controllers have up to 8-axes, can handle any mode of motion, have built-in Ethernet ports for easy daisy-chaining, and include uncommitted isolated digital inputs and outputs and uncommitted analog inputs.
The DMC-40x0 comes in a box-level format and delivers ultra-high speed with specifications that include acceptance of encoder inputs of up to 22 MHz, servo sample periods as low as 32 microseconds and command-processing times as low as 40 microseconds for application programs. The DMC-41x3 comes in both box-level and card-level formatsand delivers precise control in a low-cost package. .
Both controllers provide precise control of a variety of motors, including brush servos, brushless servos, hydraulic servos, steppers and piezo ceramic motors. They are easily connected to external drives of any size or to internal multi-axis drives contained within the box. Controllers with built-in internal drives reduce space, cost and wiring.
About Galil Motion Control Inc.
Privately held and profitable for over 117 consecutive quarters, Galil Motion Control Inc. was founded in 1983 and was the first company to produce a microprocessor-based servo motor controller without tachometer feedback. Since then, Galil has continued to advance motion control technology and has found industry-leading acceptance with over 750,000 controllers successfully installed worldwide. Various applications include machines for industries such as medical, semiconductor, machine tool, food processing, test and measurement, and textiles. Recently, Galil has introduced its fifth-generation single and multi-axis Ethernet motion controllers, including the high-speed DMC-40x0 multi-axis motion controllers, lower cost DMC-41x3 multi-axis motion controllers and the single-axis DMC-30000 series. Galil also offers the RIO-47xxx series of PLCs for intelligent I/O control over Ethernet.
